Lost memories rewinded in mind

Left my last post on 25th Sept. All these days genuinely very busy traveling all around. So couldn't continue to write what has happened in tracking. Would precisely write about all those ten days, so that the continuity remains there in all my posts.

We were placed at Tourista in Pedong. On the first day we woke up early in the morning to track towards RIKISUM. The walk was for around 15 KMs up and 15 KMs back where we were placed.
This place was at around 6000 Ft from Sea level, incredibly beautiful. Probably haven't seen more beautiful place after that. Our trainer or coach who had accompanied us had so nicely explained us lots of things about the place that is why I don't remember anything now. I can only remember that he had shown us Mt. Kanchenjungh. After walking almost 30 Kms that day we returned back to our base. We had our lunch and went asleep. Next day morning nobody remember when we had our dinner and again went to sleep.

Next day morning the most adventures thing had to be done. It was RIVER CROSSING. We did River crossing with full of zeal and excitement on river MUDUNG. One rope was tied up on two trees on the other sides of the river. It was around 30 meters broad. Now you wear a belt and with the help of a hook on your belt you would be hanged on the rope. And when you cross the river using this method oh my god can't explain one must do it to experience. On this day also we walked around 17 to 18 Kms. And in these two days we had become habituated to long walks.

On the third day we changed our base to some other base managed by Tourista only. We were sent to this base by bus I believe or might be again we walked don't remember. On this third day we had been to a place might be croose dana, from here the noise of river like Rangphu and Reshi. I still remember the names of these river. 4th day we took rest and played cricket.

5th day we had again relocated ourselves to a valley kind of place where the jungle was very dense and challenging part was we had to live in a tent. We spent our next three horrible nights in these tents without having electricity. We were asked to carry a torch so now understood the reasons. Now I am recollecting few memories which is bringing smile on my face like fight with Prakash and Azad, the way Amardeep had farted all night inside that tent and made our life hell for at least that night and lot other things.

On 5th day we had been to leech garden, we soaked tobacco leafs in kerosene and applied it on our foot so that we can create resistance against billions and billions of leeches. On 6th Day been to the highest point called rock tower 7,200 Ft above sea level. Full of fog, you can't see person standing 10 meters away from you. The coach was saying us hey guys look there ahead that is Mt. Kanchenjungh, nobody saw anything.

From last two three days we have been only having chicken and chicken and only chicken. Nice very nice very tasty and mouth watering, still mouth waters

On 7th day we had done mount climbing with the help of sophisticated tracking tools like a like axe, special shoes, caravanier hooked on rope etc etc.

On nights we had camp fires, we played antakshari, we did dance cracked lots of jokes and what not. We enjoyed. Somenath was the most wicked kind of guy in the group . Lots of things happened Somnath had applied gel pen's ink on Suman's face and drawn mustaches and beards. Suman was so fair that is why this ink was so visible on his face and it made him look funny too. When Suman woke up in the morning he didn't see his face on mirror and walked all around we laughed.
Somnath had only kept biscuits on Luminas face and made a dog eat those biscuits. After eating them the dog had licked all his face......

Then we had our exams and all we got our certificates. Those days I had one camera and there was a limitation of clicks of 35 photos. Have left with few photographs which are not so clearly visible. But yeah the memories would always be very clear on my mind.

I was only 13 when I did all this with my school friends. Its my gratitude that got that opportunity to be part of that event.

Yeah one more thing I am very sure about that I would definitely go there once again to discover myself...
